An intimate memory play about growing up and discovering new worlds and new ideas is next for the McLean Community Players as they produce A.G. Gurney's "What I Did Last Summer." The production takes place in the summer of 1945: WW II is nearing its end and a teenage boy develops self-awareness before heading off to boarding school.

MPA Hosts Annual ArtFest

Nonprofit recognized by Arts Council, holds annual festival.

The McLean Project for the Arts celebrated a banner weekend this weekend: they were recognized by the Arts Council of Fairfax County Friday, Oct. 12 and ended the weekend with their annual ArtFest Sunday in McLean Central Park.

We attended the 32nd season's first concert at St. Luke's Catholic Church in McLean. The parking was free, kids under 17 are free and the premise is "orchestra up close and personal."

Maestro Dingwall Fleary, beginning his 41st year as conductor of the McLean Symphony, announced the upcoming season for the McLean Symphony. The first concert will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the McLean Community Center Alden Theater, 1234 Ingleside Ave., Mclean.
